Passion project: The programmers of scratch. - Progress.

Hello! This is our progress after 2 or less weeks of working. we tried to finish this fast as possible. but sadly some of us aren't working on it. so far it is just me and Simeon who has been doing most of the work.  peter did do some things but Lyle's work is still unknown. we heard that he is more likely to be busy creating and very amazing space invaders game. but we haven't heard from him yet if he is creating 1! I hope you learn a lot from this presentation.

Hello! This is a Think-board that I did. It is also about Something called: "Integers" It was Something About negative and Positive numbers or the middle part. We did this thing on this 1 Equation:  "-34 + 49 = 15"
And we had to do a basic model of it and also what strategy we used. And a word problem and also 10 other similar equations.

Kio ora! This is a work that me and my Best friend did! In Wensday 12/11/2015 We are 1 of the schools who had a chance to have the access to it in beta, It was very fun! My Information Report About Our Mysterious Neighbour, Mars

                         In Week 5 of Term 2 our class focussed on how to write great information reports.

We wrote about the planet Mars as we are in the middle of learning about Planet Earth and Beyond. Learning how to write a great information report will help us with our self-guided topics in a few weeks time.

Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

My Information Report Success Criteria:	Self	Peer
My heading:
is an interesting title (I might have phrased the title as a question.)
My opening paragraph:
says what my report is about in a clear way
gives a general “classification” – and maybe a technical classification
outlines the main features of the subject
My main paragraphs:
have sub-headings where helpful
have clear topic sentences  (topic and main point)
are organised so that each paragraph is about a different aspect of the subject
give detailed information (factual descriptions)
include specific, technical vocabulary
are generally balanced (have a similar amount of detail about the different aspects I write about)
may have helpful: tables, pictures and/or diagrams to add information
My end paragraph:
draws the report together/sums up my main points
may give a personal opinion; ask the reader a question and/or tell the reader where further information may be found

ANZAC Reflection DT Term 2 Week 1 24/04/2015

What:I have been learning about ANZAC and the other things that happened like the fight at gallipoli and dawn parades and the other things I learnt other things like how many people died in the war , why is it important to remember them, what did they have do to serve our country, what places did they go, what food did they have in that time and how did they make trenches and how did they survived in their trenches and more other things.

So What:Because there were lots of them who sacrificed their lives to serve our country and it took a lot of our people and it is really important to remember the people who died in the battle and many young people died in that war too because there was a conscript that said you have to go to war when you're 17 or older.

Now What:Now I know why is it important to remember the people who taught in the war because there was a lot of people were killed or executed in the war and there were a lot of casualties in  WW1 and now I know many people died fighting in gallipoli and nomans land  and some other places.

What?

I have learnt  that using graphs sometimes can help you tell how many people are using something or using the pie graph to know the percentage and fraction of it

So what?

I can use bar and pie graphs to help me at my maths sometimes so I can figure them out easier and hati my best friend helped me

Now what?

sometimes I will use my pie or bar graph to help me in my maths if I really need too and now it would make things easier for me
