My Information Report About Our Mysterious Neighbour, Mars

                         In Week 5 of Term 2 our class focussed on how to write great information reports.

We wrote about the planet Mars as we are in the middle of learning about Planet Earth and Beyond. Learning how to write a great information report will help us with our self-guided topics in a few weeks time.

Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

My Information Report Success Criteria:	Self	Peer
My heading:
is an interesting title (I might have phrased the title as a question.)
My opening paragraph:
says what my report is about in a clear way
gives a general “classification” – and maybe a technical classification
outlines the main features of the subject
My main paragraphs:
have sub-headings where helpful
have clear topic sentences  (topic and main point)
are organised so that each paragraph is about a different aspect of the subject
give detailed information (factual descriptions)
include specific, technical vocabulary
are generally balanced (have a similar amount of detail about the different aspects I write about)
may have helpful: tables, pictures and/or diagrams to add information
My end paragraph:
draws the report together/sums up my main points
may give a personal opinion; ask the reader a question and/or tell the reader where further information may be found

What?

I have learnt  that using graphs sometimes can help you tell how many people are using something or using the pie graph to know the percentage and fraction of it

So what?

I can use bar and pie graphs to help me at my maths sometimes so I can figure them out easier and hati my best friend helped me

Now what?

sometimes I will use my pie or bar graph to help me in my maths if I really need too and now it would make things easier for me

100 World Challenge

the 100 world challenge is a contest where you must write a story that has 100 words it must have this five words the words is:Gateway, Cold, Running, Black, Friend.

Gateway,cold,running,black,friend.

Once upon a time there was  a sacred dark gateway and in the Gate way it dark  when I gone to it I took a quick look and it was dark but there was red eyes fiery eyes but one was different to all it had a blue fiery eyes then all eyes turned blue fiery eyes it was creepy so I run back and then  I  saw someone running and it said “Run Run close the gateway don't look at the fiery blue eyes it will hunt you down”. so I shut it but when I was going to press the button that say off power and lock the gate way a dark hand hold my hand and said “do not close the gateway the one who said to you that we will hunt you down is not true we are dark spirits that has blue fiery eyes we are guardians of darkness but we don't plan to take over the world we plan to protect the village but you must go back home it is a cold night  and when i got home when I look up the sky was pitch black like a dark void and i was going to go to my friends house to night.
